"The Nelly Trophy"
Requirements
Annual award given to a nominated horse that best exemplifies the many qualities of Nelly. The award will be given to the horse that best fits the description of a successful mentor and faithful reliable and safe mount for new eventing enthusiasts.
The award will consist of a nomination essay worth 30%, cross country performance 30%
Stadium and Dressage 20% and an overall attitude score for a quiet, encouraging and reliable mount 20%.
Each nominated horse will need to attend at least 2 events at Olde Hope, and will be observed by a panel of judges. The Nelly is open to both horses and ponies, and more then one horse may be nominated from the same stable.
There is no fee to nominate a horse. Complete the essay and forms and return to Olde Hope by the May 15th deadline, or sooner to be considered for the early season events.
Award will be presented at the Oktoberfest Horse Trial each year.
